This time of the year

I love this time of the year not the weather really just the time of the year. From Halloween on I feel like it is a time you are with your family the most. Halloween is trick-or-treating with your family and also happens to be my niece's birthday. Then in November we have my step-dad's birthday and my brother's birthday and step-sister's birthday (she lives in Alabama so we can't celebrate her birthday with her but we can say happy birthday to her) and of course we have Thanksgiving. This year we had Thanksgiving dinner on the 20th and had a big family get together with my aunts, uncle, cousins grandma and of course my parents and siblings and their family. On Thanksgiving my parents and I went up to Logan and had Thanksgiving dinner with my brother, his fiance and her family. My sister had Thanksgiving dinner with her family and in-laws. And next in line for this time of year is Christmas. For Christmas we get together on Christmas Eve and have Christmas then. We have everyone over and have Christmas dinner, eggnog and open presents. Then we will eat pie and sometimes play games. When we were little we would open one present on Christmas Eve which was our pajamas so we could sleep in them then we would go to bed and try to go to sleep but would have a hard time because we were trying to listen to see if we could hear the sound of hooves on the roof or sounds of Santa Clause and if we heard noises outside our bedroom door we would pretend to be asleep so Santa wouldn't know we were awake. We would eventually fall asleep because we would wake up the next day on Christmas and wake our parents and go open presents. Then after we opened our presents and ate breakfast we would fall asleep next to our pile of presents until relatives started coming over to see what we got for Christmas. Next is New Years Eve and New Years. When we were younger we would beg our parents to stay up until midnight on New Years Eve to make noise and celebrate the New Year. Now we go to the dollar theater and try to get in as many movies as possible and get pizza for lunch. My nephew's birthday is also in January so we celebrate his birthday then. Then my mom's birthday is in February so we celebrate that. This coming year my brother is getting married in March so we have that to look forward to. Which makes me happy but at the same time sad because we would hang out a lot and now that he has found someone to we don't spend as much time together. I am happy for him because he has found someone he really loves and who really loves him. I hope they are very happy together. Anyways I have gone on more than I meant to. So I will say good night and hope your holidays are happy and spent with the ones you love.
