Work

So, I want to give a rundown of what has been going on with me work wise since I noticed that I haven't posted anything about work since I posted back at the beginning of the year of 2011.
So, to start out I was laid off from my job at Emeritus (Brighton Gardens) on September 26, 2011. I remember the date because I also had my first appointment with my new reproductive endocrinologist where we just went over my medical history and family history. The 28th I had another appointment where he did a physical and set up tests to be done (they had to be done because my insurance wouldn't be paid for anymore by the end of the week and I would have to start paying for it through cobra). I had a Pap smear done that day and the next day was the crazy day. I woke up early and went and had blood drawn because one of the blood tests had to be done at precisely 8:00 in the morning then I went to the doctors office to do the gtt ( glucose tolerance test), then back to campus for classes, had to leave my last class to go back to get more blood drawn for the second time because the same blood test that had to be done at precisely 8:00 in the morning had to be done again precisely 4:00 in the afternoon then upstairs for the ultrasound of my thyroid. I had an appointment for Monday the 3rd of October to find out the results of the tests. I found out that my body was a mess. I found out that I had type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and nodules on my left and right thyroid glands. The 3 on the left are just itty bitty and didn't need to be worried about but the one on the right was big and needed to be biopsed. That was fun, not. They use the ultrasound to find it, numb the area with novacaine, then take a needle and stick it your neck to get a piece of the the nodule to biopsy. By the way the novacaine doesn't numb that far down. I'm only telling you this so you know how bad my week was because not only did I get laid off but I was told that my body was a mess and if we didn't get started on fixing it I wouldn't live very long. So, I started the search for a new job and in February of 2012 I got one working at Avalon Valley. It was not my favorite place to work and I was stressed a lot of the time I worked there. I found a second job this past August (2013) working for a home health company which I love. About two weeks ago (Monday through Thursday because I worked graveyard Thursday night at Avalon) I had to take care of two ladies (friends living together) because their regular aide was on vacation. Well on Tuesday when I arrived one of them was sick, she told me that she had been vomiting all night. I took care of her and made sure I washed my hands and used hand sanitizer to be safe. Wednesday was the same, she was still sick. That night my stepdad told me we were on our own for dinner because my mom would be working late so he gave me a can of soup I could make for myself and he made himself some soup. I never made my soup because I started to feel very nauseous and nothing sounded good to eat not even soup. I started to vomit that night. I called my home health company and let them know so they could find help me find someone to cover and then called Avalon. I talked to Amy the ADON (assistant director of nursing) and let her know that I had been vomiting and a fever of 103.2. She told me not to come in and asked me to help her find someone to cover. Later she texted me to tell me to make sure I got a doctors note. I went the next day to the urgent care clinic and was told I had a flu bug that was going around and that it lasted around 3 to 5 days and that I couldn't work. So I called Avalon again to let them know and this time I talked to Natalie the CNA coordinator. She told me I had to find someone to cover or come in sick and where a mask. I have to add at this point I was weak and shaky and probably should not have driven myself to the clinic but only did so because I was told I needed the doctors note, I only say this because I didn't know how she expected me to take care of 25 elderly patients when I could barely stand myself up to take care of myself. I called my mom and she could tell that I was upset even though I had calmed myself down to call and talk to her.     I told her what Natalie had said and said at this point I just want to quit. She told me that she normally doesn't condone quitting without two weeks notice but in this case she did. I called Natalie back after talking to my home health job to see if I could get more hours. She told me that she got it covered if that is why I was calling and I told her that I wasn't calling for that. That I was calling to tell her I quit and she asked me if I was going to give her two weeks notice and I told her no. She asked me why and I told her because you told me that if I couldn't get my shift covered I had to come in sick and wear a mask when I have a doctors note saying I cannot work and I can barely take care of myself let alone 25 other people plus all the stress you cause me. At that point she started crying and hung up the phone. Since then she has only talked to me through text. I am not upset at all for quitting that job. I hated it. I loved my patients there and most of my coworkers but not the way I was treated by Natalie. I didn't want it on my conscious if I got one of my patients sick, especially since the flu can kill a lot of them. Masks cannot prevent the spread of germs (plus I am allergic to the masks they use). I am happy at my new job, I really love it.

Broken foot

I found out about 6 weeks ago that I broke my foot. I have a stress fracture on two bones in my foot. I have no idea how or when exactly I did it. It started to hurt back in the end of March so I made an appointment and went to see my doctor, I got an appointment for the 30th (I also have to insert here that he was moving to a new office around this time) . He sent me for an x-ray and I went right after I left his office that night. I had to make sure I got it done because I was doing Cobra for my insurance and wasn't due to get my new insurance until May. I tried to get a hold of someone the next day to find out the results of the x-ray but the phone had a message that it could transfer me to his new office and that the other doctor was not in that day. I pressed the button to be transferred to his new office and was told that he didn't have his phone set-up nor did his medical assistant and I had to wait until he was in the next week to see him or talk to his assistant. I decided to go to his old office and see if anyone was there. There were several people there packing up stuff to send to the new office and it happened to be that my doctor was there and they went and found him for me to talk to him. He said that the x-ray was clean and gave me a prescription for a medication that I ended up not being able to take since it would cause problems with my current medications I was taking for my blood pressure. I had no insurance during April and my foot continued to bother me. I received my new insurance in May and had several other medical appointments to deal with concerning my diabetes, cholesterol and thyroid. I finally made an appointment with my old doctor (I found out that my previous doctor was on my new insurance and decided to go back to him since I liked him a lot more because he actually let me know what was going on with my own body). I told him about my foot and he sent me to a podiatrist. The podiatrist also x-rayed my foot which didn't show anything but he said stress fractures don't always show up on x-rays and wanted me to go for a mri to get a better look. I went for a mri that Saturday and went back to the podiatrist the following Tuesday. He said that the mri showed a stress fracture on two of the bones of my foot. He put me in a boot and gave me notes for my work. I have this big, clunky boot that is also black that I have to wear during the hot weather.
So I moved back to school on August 18th and have had several comments and questions about my very trendy boot. Along with the comments I get people who tell me that they know how I feel that they had to wear one of those before. My favorite story though happened a few weeks ago when I was at the check-out stand at the grocery store when a man was telling me all about all the injuries he has had when he used to play football. It's interesting the kinds of comments and stories you get to hear all because of the boot you have to wear because you broke your foot.

Day 10: Your Guilty Pleasure/s

My first guilty pleasure is a nice hot bubble bath, one I can just lay there until the water is no longer warm or my skin gets all wrinkly. Another would be sweets. I love sweets. Hot Chocolate, I love a big mug of hot chocolate. Reading, I love to read. I love to read and get lost in other worlds. I think that is it.

Day 9: If You Could Have Any Job In The World, What Would It Be?

I said it in previous blogs my dream job is a Child-Life Specialist hopefully working at Primary Children's Medical Center. I have always wanted a job where I could help others. I really love working with children and want to help children who are going through what I had to go through when I was a child. I feel like I could help them a lot because I know what they are going through firsthand. Other than my mom and dad were their for me every step of the way, the child-life specialists were there as well. My dad was not there as much as my mom because of his fear of needles he couldn't be in a lot of the procedures with me (even though I know he wanted to be), so my mom and the child-life specialists would help me get through the procedures and kept me distracted while the needles were being stuck into me. I don't think there are words big enough to express the gratitude I feel toward my family and the staff at the hospital for getting me through, my mom especially.

Day 8: A Moment You Felt Most Satisfied With Your Life

I have no idea!! Probably when I graduated from SLCC. I felt accomplished, like all of my hard work payed off. If you would ask me when I felt happiest I would say right now. I may not have a job right now but the way the company I was working for was right before I lost my job I was way stressed out toward the end of my career there. I constantly felt like crying and stressed out. I loved what I did, taking care of people, elderly people but the politics of the job and unhappiness I was feeling toward the end, way outweighed the benefits. I am happy right now. Working my way through school toward my dream job. I am coming out of my shell more and more. I feel really happy right now. Hopefully I will find a job that I can be happy at again.

Day 7: Your Favorite Childhood Toys

One of my favorite toys from childhood was Barbies. I loved playing with my barbies with my friends. Another favorite toy would be my bitty baby. When I got it it was a lot of money and was only available from a catalog. I saved up my money and raised money to pay for half of it and my parents paid for the other half for my birthday the year I got it. I wanted all of the American Girls and their accessories from the catalog I would get with them in it. Never could afford them though. Now you can buy then at Target and other local stores. I also had this dinosaur that was purple and green that was the size of a small dog that I used to tie a shoelace around its neck and pretend to take it for a walk. I loved to color as well. Loved coloring books and fuzzy posters. I also loved puzzles. One year for Christmas my brother and I got puzzles and ended up with two of the same puzzle. He got two of the same Batman puzzles and I got two of the same kitten puzzle. We used to take them and have races with them to see who could put them together the fastest. I still love to do puzzles. I also loved to play board games. I still love to play board games.

Day 6: Your Zodiac Sign and if you think it fits your personality

Libra! About Your Sign...

Libra is the only inanimate sign of the zodiac, all the others representing either humans or animals. Many modern astrologers regard it as the most desirable of zodiacal types because it represents the zenith of the year, the high point of the seasons, when the harvest of all the hard work of the spring is reaped. There is a mellowness and sense of relaxation in the air as mankind enjoys the last of the summer sun and the fruits of his toil. Librans too are among the most civilized of the twelve zodiacal characters and are often good looking. They have elegance, charm and good taste, are naturally kind, very gentle, and lovers of beauty, harmony (both in music and social living) and the pleasures that these bring.
They have good critical faculty and are able to stand back and look impartially at matters which call for an impartial judgment to be made on them. But they do not tolerate argument from anyone who challenges their opinions, for once they have reached a conclusion, its truth seems to them self-evident; and among their faults is an impatience of criticism and a greed for approval. But their characters are on the whole balanced, diplomatic and even tempered.
Librans are sensitive to the needs of others and have the gift, sometimes to an almost psychic extent, of understanding the emotional needs of their companions and meeting them with their own innate optimism - they are the kind of people of whom it is said, "They always make you feel better for having been with them." They are very social human beings. They loathe cruelty, viciousness and vulgarity and detest conflict between people, so they do their best to cooperate and compromise with everyone around them, and their ideal for their own circle and for society as a whole is unity.
Their cast of mind is artistic rather than intellectual, though they are usually too moderate and well balanced to be avant garde in any artistic endeavor. They have good perception and observation and their critical ability, with which they are able to view their own efforts as well as those of others, gives their work integrity.
In their personal relationships they show understanding of the other person's point of view, trying to resolve any differences by compromise, and are often willing to allow claims against themselves to be settled to their own disadvantage rather than spoil a relationship. They like the opposite sex to the extent of promiscuity sometimes, and may indulge in romanticism bordering on sentimentality.

Their marriages, however, stand a good chance of success because they are frequently the union of "true minds". The Libran's continuing kindness toward his or her partner mollifies any hurt the latter may feel if the two have had a tiff. Nor can the Libran's spouse often complain that he or she is not understood, for the Libran is usually the most empathetic of all the zodiacal types and the most ready to tolerate the beloved's failings.
The negative Libran character may show frivolity, flirtatiousness and shallowness. It can be changeable and indecisive, impatient of routine, colorlessly conventional and timid, easygoing to the point of inertia, seldom angry when circumstances demand a show of annoyance at least; and yet Librans can shock everyone around them with sudden storms of rage. Their love of pleasure may lead them into extravagance; Libran men can degenerate into reckless gamblers, and Libran women extravagant, jealous and careless about money sometimes squander their wealth and talents in their overenthusiasm for causes which they espouse. Both sexes can become great gossipers. A characteristic of the type is an insatiable curiosity that tempts them to enquire into every social scandal in their circle.
In their work the description "lazy Libra" which is sometimes given is actually more alliterative than true. Librans can be surprisingly energetic, though it is true that they dislike coarse, dirty work. Although some are modestly content, others are extremely ambitious. With their dislike of extremes they make good diplomats but perhaps poor party politicians, for they are moderate in their opinions and able to see other points of view. They can succeed as administrators, lawyers (they have a strong sense of justice, which cynics might say could handicap them in a legal career), antique dealers, civil servants and bankers, for they are trustworthy in handling other people's money. Some Librans are gifted in fashion designing or in devising new cosmetics; others may find success as artists, composers, critics, writers, interior decorators, welfare workers or valuers, and they have an ability in the management of all sorts of public entertainment. Some work philanthropically for humanity with great self-disciple and significant results. Libran financiers sometimes make good speculators, for they have the optimism and ability to recover from financial crashes.
Possible Health Concerns...
Libra governs the lumbar region, lower back and kidneys. Its subjects must beware of weaknesses in the back, and lumbago, and they are susceptible to troubles in the kidneys and bladder, especially gravel and stone. They need to avoid overindulgence in food and especially drink, for the latter can particularly harm the kidneys.

I think this pretty much describes me.

Day 5: Your Favorite Comfort Food and Why

I almost totally forgot to do this. That is why it's late. My favorite comfort food would probably be homemade stew. It makes you feel nice and warm from the inside out and I always remember having it on cold winter days. Other favorite comfort food is homemade chili, ham and beans, chicken noodle soup (made with made from scratch noodles) with mash potatoes (homemade not instant). Chicken, dumplings and mash potatoes is also a favorite. All of these foods are made from scratch, homemade. The reason I feel like they are comfort foods is because they remind me of my mom and grandma because they are the two people who make them. I love homemade, made from scratch food. I think mostly because they warm you up from the inside out and they remind you of home.

Day 4: Your Views on Religion

When I was growing up I lived in a very Mormon neighborhood like my sister said. And just like my sister I went to a big young women's and young men's activity where you are in a plane crash. And like my sister said in her blog the Mormon Church believes in three levels of heaven and the outer darkness (essentially hell). I went this activity at a friend's ward and not the ward I belonged to. Unlike my sister we went to all three levels of heaven and the outer darkness as a group except I was told I would be going to the outer darkness because I did not pay tithing. I remember my dad coming to pick me up that night and getting into the car and I just started balling because I thought I was going to hell. I remember my dad telling me that after everything I have been through in my life God would not send me to hell because I did not pay tithing. This experience and a few others turn me away from the Mormon Church. I do not believe in any one religion and do not judge others for their beliefs in any one religion and hope that they would give me the same consideration. I believe in God. I do not believe that there is any one true religion. And I believe God does not judge you based on your religious beliefs. I believe He judges us based on our choices. I do not push my religious beliefs on anyone and do not want their beliefs pushed on me. I hope that I didn't hurt anyone's feelings by stating what I believe in but this is the truth of my beliefs.

Day 3: Your to 5 pet peeves

The first would have to be spitting and spitting gum out on the sidewalk. I think it is disgusting. I don't want to walk in your spit or gum so please spit in your sink at home and spit your gum out in the trash can.
The second is the same as my moms, people not returning their carts to either the store or the cart corral. It is only a few feet people it won't hurt you to walk those few feet to put it away and guess what you can get some exercise in doing so.
The third is people not being courteous. If someone opens or holds open the door for you say thank you. If someone lets you into traffic, simple wave of your hand to say thank you would be nice. Let someone into to traffic once in a while just to be nice. I could go on and on with this but won't.
The fourth is people who say rude things about people who are performing. I want to see if they can do that and if they are better then they can make critical remarks about the person performing. I can understand booing at sporting events but to say that person is terrible when they really aren't gets, on my nerves.
The fifth is hypocrites. I don't like people complaining about someone doing something and then they turn around and do they same thing and think it's alright for them to do it but it is not alright for someone else to do that same thing.
Anyway those are my top 5 pet peeves.

Day 2: Where you'd like to be in 10 years

First I would love to be in my dream job which is a child-life specialist. I would like to be working at Primary Children's Medical Center but would settle for any children's hospital. I would like to still be volunteering at Make-A-Wish Foundation of Utah as a wish granter, right now I am a wish magician. I would like to be married to a great guy and have at least one child of my own. I would like to own my own house, at least a four bedroom with a large kitchen, 2 and 1/2 baths, a huge walk-in closet in my bedroom, a yard for my kid/s to play in, a couple of dogs and a cat or two. That's where I would like to be in 10 years.

Day 1: Your current relationship

This one I am suppose to discuss my current relationship or since I am single discuss being single. I am currently single but am looking for my frog prince. There are advantages to being single. For one I am currently trying to finish my schooling at the end of which I have to do an internship which I may have to go out of state for. I do wish I was in a current relationship but I know I will find the right person when the time is right. I do feel a little lonely sometimes when I see my friends and family with their spouses and family they are building but I am happy for them for finding that special person to spend their life with. I know the person who is right for me is out there somewhere and we will find each other when the time is right but until then I am happy being me and doing what I am to better myself and hopefully in the end have the career I am dreaming of. I am happy where I am right now in life. I love life and love the people that are in my life.

The single girl in the room

I am the single girl in the room. Everyone around me is either married or getting married. My sister got married six years ago to a wonderful and sometimes dorky guy and now they have two beautiful and wonderful children. My mom also remarried six years ago to a wonderful and dorky guy who drives her crazy at times but you can tell they love each other a lot. One of my best friends also got married six years ago to her high school sweetheart whom she loves to no end and have 3 children together, one of which sadly only lived an hour but the other two are beautiful and healthy. And now my baby brother is married before me to a wonderful girl who he loves with all of his heart and she loves him with her whole heart. They know each other like the back of their hands. My friends are all married, married with children or are getting married. I got an invite from another friend who is getting married who is younger than me. Don't get me wrong I am happy for all my friends and family for finding their happiness but I feel like I am a third wheel anymore and I don't want to. I want to know when I will find that perfect person for me? Where is my happy ending? Where is my frog to kiss to turn into my prince, my white knight? WHEN IS IT MY TURN???!!!

medical leave

Since December 23rd I have been put on medical leave. Let me tell you from the beginning what has happened and lead up to this. In August I fell at work on a wet floor because I didn't know the floor was wet because there was no wet floor sign out. I hurt my knee and was sent to ER that night where they did a X-Ray which showed no damage. They put me in an entire leg brace which made it so that I couldn't move or bend my knee if I wanted to. If I wanted to move my leg at all I had to move my entire leg and also gave me crutches (which I found out later they did not put together correctly) and then gave me a poor demonstration. I used them to get out to my car that night and haven't touched them since (they said I didn't need them. I could use them if I wanted to). Then the next day they sent me to the medical clinic they always do when we get injured at work for workers comp. I was put on light duty doing office work and sent to physical therapy. The next week the clinic doctor sent me to get a MRI done. It showed a contusion (bruise) on the bone and a cyst. After four weeks with the clinic doctor and physical therapy at my work and not much improvement the clinic doctor sent me to a specialist. Oh I need to mention that while seeing this doctor at the clinic one of the days I was walking up the stairs and my knee popped and gave out on me and I would have fallen down the stairs if I had not been holding on to the railing (this happened in September before I was sent to see the specialist). In October he gave me a cortisone shot in my knee and told me to do therapy exercises on my own. In November the Specialist gave me 3 options since my knee wasn't getting any better. Option 1: go back to working full time on the floor. Which he did not release me from light duty and when I asked him about it he said I would have to transition in to it. If you have ever worked at an assisted living facility as a C.N.A. you know you cannot transition into it. You either work on the floor or you are on light duty. So option 1 was out. Option 2: get a second opinion. Option 3: Surgery. I brought Option 2 and 3 to the HR person and she proceeded to call workers comp. A week later I am informed that I am going to see a doctor for a second opinion. A week later (December 10th) I walk into this doctors office and am given paperwork to fill out which isn't unusual. I start filling out the paperwork and one of the sheets says this is an appointment to get a report and not to form a patient/doctor relationship. I am the ushered into an exam room where the doctor starts off by informing me that he will not be telling me anything and proceeds to asking questions and reading paperwork from the other doctors then hands me a pair of disposable shorts, asks me to put them on and leaves the room. He comes back after I am changed with one of the receptionists and starts examining my knee which he starts by marking my leg in three places rather hard with his pen. He finishes and leaves. I change and go back out into the lobby where I finish my paperwork. I then go to work where I immediately go to the HR office and say that it wasn't a doctor's appointment I was lead to believe it to be. She tells me he was making a report for workers comp and they would go by what he says for me to do. Two weeks go by and I don't hear anything. One of which the person in HR is in Hawaii on vacation. On December 23rd around 1:30pm we are sitting in the country kitchen at work and doing our Secret Santa gift exchange. My supervisors cell phone rings and she tells the person that she was busy and will come talk to them in a half an hour. I could tell it was the person from HR and felt in my gut that it was about me but brushed it off and scolded myself for jumping to conclusions that it could be they had hired someone new for assisted living. We finish our party and I go over the the nurses office and start filing paperwork when one of my coworkers tells me that someone was at the front desk looking for me. I proceed down to the first floor and to the front desk where they direct me to the HR office. I walk over and the door is closed so I knock and am told to come in. Both the HR person and my supervisor are in there and they lead my into the day room (a little office off to the side of the front desk) where they hand me a copy of a letter from workers comp and a copy of the report from the doctor. To sum up what is said it pretty much said my injury from my fall at work was healed six weeks after it happened and that I rushed up the stairs at home and re-injured my knee then and that workers comp was no longer responsible for it and any medical treatment or surgery I would need I would have to use my insurance to pay for it. My rushing up the stairs is when I was walking up the stairs and my knee popped. Anyone who knows me knows I don't rush doing anything. I am often told I walk too slow. I was teased by my sisters boss who called me a turtle. Anyway I was told I was being put on medical leave as of right then and sent home and told to go and see my primary physician which means I am not being payed. So I called that day and made an appointment with my primary physician for last Tuesday and he didn't understand why they had taken so long and he made an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon for last Thursday. He gave me another cortisone shot in the side of the knee it should have been put in in the first place told me to give it a week and if it didn't feel better in a week I would have to have surgery. So it has been a week and it doesn't feel any better and I had to find a different surgeon because this surgeon doesn't work at any of the hospitals my insurance covers. He is an in network doctor but the hospital he works at is an out of network hospital so if I had him do the surgery it would cost me 2500 dollars in deductibles. So I found a different surgeon to go and see for the surgery and it is the same specialist I was sent to by the clinic doctor. I will be seeing him on Friday. Anyways I just needed to vent a little so there it is. I am sorry if I went on too long or complained too much.

This time of the year

I love this time of the year not the weather really just the time of the year. From Halloween on I feel like it is a time you are with your family the most. Halloween is trick-or-treating with your family and also happens to be my niece's birthday. Then in November we have my step-dad's birthday and my brother's birthday and step-sister's birthday (she lives in Alabama so we can't celebrate her birthday with her but we can say happy birthday to her) and of course we have Thanksgiving. This year we had Thanksgiving dinner on the 20th and had a big family get together with my aunts, uncle, cousins grandma and of course my parents and siblings and their family. On Thanksgiving my parents and I went up to Logan and had Thanksgiving dinner with my brother, his fiance and her family. My sister had Thanksgiving dinner with her family and in-laws. And next in line for this time of year is Christmas. For Christmas we get together on Christmas Eve and have Christmas then. We have everyone over and have Christmas dinner, eggnog and open presents. Then we will eat pie and sometimes play games. When we were little we would open one present on Christmas Eve which was our pajamas so we could sleep in them then we would go to bed and try to go to sleep but would have a hard time because we were trying to listen to see if we could hear the sound of hooves on the roof or sounds of Santa Clause and if we heard noises outside our bedroom door we would pretend to be asleep so Santa wouldn't know we were awake. We would eventually fall asleep because we would wake up the next day on Christmas and wake our parents and go open presents. Then after we opened our presents and ate breakfast we would fall asleep next to our pile of presents until relatives started coming over to see what we got for Christmas. Next is New Years Eve and New Years. When we were younger we would beg our parents to stay up until midnight on New Years Eve to make noise and celebrate the New Year. Now we go to the dollar theater and try to get in as many movies as possible and get pizza for lunch. My nephew's birthday is also in January so we celebrate his birthday then. Then my mom's birthday is in February so we celebrate that. This coming year my brother is getting married in March so we have that to look forward to. Which makes me happy but at the same time sad because we would hang out a lot and now that he has found someone to we don't spend as much time together. I am happy for him because he has found someone he really loves and who really loves him. I hope they are very happy together. Anyways I have gone on more than I meant to. So I will say good night and hope your holidays are happy and spent with the ones you love.

Hi. My name's Martha, What's yours?

I have a cute little lady where I work. Everyday and every single time she sees you she will make the same comment of "Hi. My name is Martha, what's yours?" even if just five minutes ago she asked you this she will ask you it again. Most people would find this annoying but everyone who works with her love it and love her for saying it because it is a part of who she is. If she did not make this comment to you every time she saw you, you would think something is wrong. She is one of the cutest ladies I get to see everyday and I love my job for being able work with people like her. Every time she sees me she has to tell me hi and wave. Every time I tell her my name she tells me what a beautiful name it is and I thank her and tell her that I was named after my grandmother and she says that's wonderful. One time when we went through this spill she told me she didn't like her name and I asked her why she thought that and she said it was because she thought it was plain and boring. I told her that I liked it because it was part of her personality. I am glad I get to be a part her daily life because she is a great person.
